Christmas 2025: Spiritual Significance & What Astrology Says

“Merry Christmas 2025” is an expression one keeps on hearing everywhere when this festival arrives. On this day, people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the founder of Christianity. As per the Chrisitan belief, Jesus was born to escort humanity to the virtuous way and restore the moral order. But for many people, Christmas is also a day for complete jubilation, excitement and fun. Christmas is essentially the mass (act of worshipping) of Christ. It is believed that when Jesus Christ was born, the earth was afflicted by superstition, hypocrisy and greed. He is seen as the form of divinity who saved humankind. It is also the day when children decorate Christmas trees and homes and anxiously wait to receive presents from Santa Claus.

Christmas is celebrated throughout the world. It has transcended the boundaries of creed and community.  The festival is celebrated by decorating the Christmas tree in their houses, putting up small figures representing their culture. The gifts are placed under this tree. Christmas in churches include midnight mass, as it is said that Jesus was born at midnight. The Christmas eve, the evening before Chirismas is also celebrated with great enthusiasm across the world. Like every other festival, Christmas tradition holds quite an importance. The Christmas tree is a symbol of Christ. The evergreen nature of the tree even in extreme winter represents the undying spirit of Christ, a gift to humanity. A Star is also used during decoration which is believed to have guided the three wise men.

Therefore, we cannot discard another crucial aspect of this festival i.e. its strong astrological side. While talking about an occasion so exquisite as Christmas, we cannot and should not discard the message from the heavens. Even more so because the exact date of Christ’s birth has been tracked down using the astrological information mentioned in the records. A pretty common question regarding the festival is who celebrates Christmas? It is mainly the festival of christians, however its numerous impressive aspects attract even the people of other religions to celebrate this festival with complete enthusiasm and zest

Christmas Festival and the Spiritual Calling

The relationship between Astrology and the birthday of Jesus Christ is firmly established by the fact that the three wise men who were travelling in pursuit of a New King (Jesus Christ) were guided by a “Star”. It is believed that these stars were part of a cluster, with bright Jupiter at the centre. Benevolence aids to make our life prosperous. Also, life can change with the help of Astrology.

Christmas Festival Tale and the Position of Stars

The exact birth year of Jesus Christ to this day is not known clearly as there has been no solid recorded evidence to prove the same. However, astrologers from all over the country concluded that Jesus’s birth place would have taken place between between 5 and 7 BC by working backwards from the period of the Lord’s crucifixion. As per few astrologers Jesus was born in the year 7 BC at 1:21 in Bethlehem.

Jesus and the Sun

Various factors link Jesus to the Sun. Jesus was recognised with the Sun according to a verse of the old testament. As per an early sermon presented by Saint Augustine, Jesus elected to be born on the shortest day of the year for symbolic reasons. He was born on the shortest day of the year from which the days after (subsequent) start to increase in length pointing out the increase of light. Lord Jesus was called “the light of the world” by John. There is also a belief that creation commenced at the Spring Equinox (March 25), with the origin or birth of Jesus on March 28, which is, in Genesis, the day of creation of the sun. Due to this reason, Malachi, the prophet described him as the sun of righteousness.
